April Gresham

April was a 40-year-old mother of four boys who is battling 4th stage breast cancer. We met with April in early December 2008 to help her begin planning the legacy she wanted to establish for her young boys.

April was passionate about giving her boys the kind of foundation they will need in their lives raising their own families. One of her priorities was to document, by way of a video interview, what she valued in life and the principles that guided her. She also wanted to make sure each boy knew how much she treasured them and share stories and memories of their life together. April also chose to have her thumb print made into a solid silver charm, one for each son. getzcreative stepped in and took photographs of April and her boys which we combined with the thumb print charm and made a special gift for each son. April was also very creative and loved to write. She compiled her poems and creative writings from over the years into a book for her boys. This is yet another way to pass along her deepest thoughts and passions to her boys.

During the time that we served April, she found a special place in each of our hearts. We thank her for inspiring all of us and for allowing us to be a part of her life.
